Grade 2 Homeschooling

We used these resources in Grade 2 (age 7 to 8) while we were in Vancouver. We were registered homeschoolers. Unlike Quebec, we had no mandatory curriculum to follow or reporting to do. We continued with learning French as a second language.

Again, we used the Reading Eggs/Mathseeds to cover the core competencies for English and Maths for both children (age 8 and age 4). We made a lot of use of local libraries for books and audiobooks, especially as the pandemic was greatly limiting our options.

The Branches books from Scholastic gave a lot of options for bridging the gap between beginner reading/comics and chapter books.
